Helping Out Stephannie Johnson

Hello! As you may have heard by now, my sister Stephannie Johnson suffered a stroke on January 24, 2023 due to the result of an unknown heart condition. It was very unexpected and a total shock to us all. She spent some time in ICU and stroke rehabilitation in Duluth and has been at home for about a month or so now.

Doing a GoFundMe was never on our radar, but a few people had mentioned it so we brought it up to Steph to see if that might be helpful. If you know Steph -she doesn't really like to be the center of attention, but after talking through it more, we realized it might relieve some extra stress for her during this time. Above and beyond medical expenses, there have been lots of unexpected costs too that we didn't think of. This includes things such as travel costs, purchasing things for her home to make living on her own easier, and more. It sure all adds up quickly!

We are hopeful for a great recovery and she has come so incredibly far! With any brain healing, it just takes a long time. We are still working through and waiting to hear all the details of the heart condition and hope to have more answers soon! Meanwhile, Steph is doing her therapies and keeping a positive attitude through all of this. Thankfully we serve a God who is sovereign and knows all - even when we can't see it or fully understand 'why' this had to happen. We trust in Him and give Him glory! Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6.
