Helping out Becca

Donation protected
We all need help from time to time, but sometimes the need for help is more than just one person or even a small group of people can do. Which is why I am launching this GoFundMe for our friend Rebecca Jordan. As a preschool teacher, she's managed to keep things together, but just barely and that doesn't leave room for really addressing some chronic issues that will help her out in the long run, both financially and health-wise. To this end, as much as Becca has given forth in generosity and kindness, I hope that we as a larger group can help her out. The goals of this campaign are thus in terms of milestones:
1. Replace her leaking washing machine (multiple people have poked at it and we just can't get it fixed so that it doesn't spill out all over the floor, potentially causing more damage to the house)
2. Get her mower fixed (She's had some mowers donated to her, but they are in need of repair. And this will help keep down the ticks in her yard, a constant aggravation to her and a threat to her dogs).
3. Get her ductwork cleaned and fixed (this is the first of the larger cost goals. From the description, not all of her ducts are well connected and sometimes blow dirt or insulation into the house. This is both a cost saving improvement and a health improvement for her house)
4. Finish removing the partially fallen tree that occupies so much of her fenced in yard (This is a job where it might be best left to professionals with better equipment than what I have available and so it doesn't damage her fence more than when the trees originally fell)
5. Clear out the fields (This was one of the major goals that Becca had for the new place and unfortunately, the initial person she tried to hire never came back to do anything. This would potentially allow her to move her horses back onto her land and so she can care for them directly rather than paying a pretty hefty cost per month to have them boarded. This would probably be the largest change in her financial status as well as make her very happy)
6. Barn repairs (The land also came with a barn. It needs quite a bit of work, but at least is a start as opposed to a brand new barn. This has so far been hard to access due to how much has grown up around it, hence the clearing as a higher priority).

After these goals are met, there may be an extension (such as fencing for the fields and a mower to handle the larger area) but these are the largest items that Becca has had issues with that I am aware of and also that may benefit her the most. She's been able to keep her head above water (barely), but as noted, that leaves nothing for any of these more major projects. So, anything you can do to help out would be appreciated! And I also don't expect this to be done immediately. This is a pretty big ask, but via donations from many people and perhaps multiple donations over time, we can help Becca out. As we reach milestone points, I will work with Becca to find reliable sources or contractors to accomplish the goals.

Sincerely,
Donovan
