My name is Sarah Belknap, and together with dear friend Rachel Fleming I am raising funds to support Palestinian civilians suffering in this war.

We have all witnessed the horrifying footage and first hand accounts of immense suffering in Palestine. I myself have often felt powerless in my grief and rage that anyone could treat people - especially children, this way. But I am not powerless - and neither are you. We have the ability to directly materially support people in need. We can support Palestinians in securing the basics necessary for survival. Food, shelter, clothing, hygiene, medical support, and rehumanizing experiences of care are all desperately needed. We can send money to people who need it directly. This money travels through a network of people just like you who are tired of watching, and are ready to help.

Dear people just like you have agreed to create a matching fund. They want to fight against the despair with you - and match any dollar you are able to contribute to give refugees and displaced people access to the things they need most. We can double your donations, up to $5,000.

Your donation will be doubled, and you can know that when the aid is distributed in Gaza the people there will not only receive the desperately needed food, water, and shelter, but that they will also know that out there in this world there is someone who cares about what is happening to them, and wants them to survive to see peace and an end to this war. This psychological benefit of seeing that they are not alone or abandoned by humanity, and that we care deeply for their suffering is so valuable.
