Helping our neighborhood handyman and father of 3!

Hello everybody. I am Katie Turner and a friend of Emily and Nate Wentz. As most of you know, Nate was involved in a horrible accident at work. Emily recently posted this on social media explaining the details:

“Just over 2 weeks ago Nate had a bad accident at work. Fell through an unsecured floor in a new home to a cement basement. He broke his back, shattered his shoulder, and shattered his pelvis. After spending a few days in icu with internal bleeding, he was cleared for surgery to reconstruct his pelvis. 7 hours later, he has a few plates, a few rods, and lots of screws. A few days later, they got his shoulder put back together.

Well I’m happy to report Nate is home we have a long long recovery where he is non-weight bearing for 12 weeks. But we have so much to be thankful for. I can’t even begin to explain the miracles that happened for him to get to this point. I haven’t been able to process that yet. This could have been way way worse.

I just can’t thank my friends and neighbors enough for everyone stepping up and helping with the kids. And my mom Elaine who flew in the next day to take over the house so I could focus on Nate. I would be lost without you all ❤️”

It is our time to help. Nate is currently unable to do many basic tasks….. let alone maintaining the house (inside and out) helping with the children ( Keller 7, Elle 5 and Brycen 5 months) and clearly working. Nate and Emily are some of the strongest people I know but they have a very long road ahead of them. Any donations to help during this time would be beyond appreciated.
