It was with heavy hearts that we announced the passing of our beloved Peg on December 24, 2025. Peg was our loving step-mother (mama #2 as my sister and I called her) who touched the lives of everyone around her.

For the past 3 years our mom has been caring for Peg full time. Our mom made a promise to Peg that she would never be put in a nursing home. Our mom was able to keep that promise by doing whatever it took, even if that meant they went without some things at times. It also meant cashing out all their savings and retirement accounts.

Those who know our mom know she is never one to ask for help. She is a fiercely strong and independent woman. My sister and I see her struggling to figure out the finances right now to be able to give Peg the dignified burial and farewell that she truly deserves.

We are looking for any help we can get for our mom, any contribution, no matter the size, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow her to grieve.
