On Saturday 7th of February, the Ortiz and Houlcroft family suffered an unimaginable and heartbreaking loss when Jorge, Carolina, Damian, Jess and Sylvie driving back from a family day out was hit by a speeding driver who veered into their lane, resulting in the devastating passing of grandad Jorge and mum Jess.

With Carolina, Damian and Sylvie still in hospital requiring multiple surgeries, the road to recovery is long, difficult and still unclear. The family after their worst day, also faces the heartbreak of life without Jorge’s infectious happiness and the incredible force of life that was Jessica.

A family who collectively worked in healthcare for multiple decades dedicating themselves to caring for others, need all the support possible now.
