On September 17, 2025, my beloved friend sustained severe injuries to his chest. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, during which time he flatlined not once, but twice. He had to undergo emergency surgery to save his life. Thanks to the incredible skill of his medical team, he survived the surgery, but the fight is far from over.

He is now facing a long and difficult recovery. He has been recently released from the hospital, but continues to endure intense pain and the emotional trauma of this nightmare. He will require many visits to specialists to receive specialized medical care in order to gain back normal functionality of his life, as he is having difficulty with breathing, speaking, and mobility.

Before this tragedy, he was a dedicated teacher, taking immense pride in the accomplishments of all his students. Now, he is unable to work for the foreseeable future and the medical bills are mounting rapidly.
