This is the most difficult thing I have ever had to put into words…..
Our Low Country friends and family are saying good bye to a beautiful Angel that we have been so blessed to have here on Earth with us for the time God has let her spend here with us.
Ginger suffered a severe stroke this past Tuesday and was life flighted to Savannah where she has undergone brain surgery and went into ICU to fight for her life where Stacy has been by her side the entire time.
Ginger has gone through several medical tests over the past few days and doctors even with their best efforts have found as of Thursday afternoon that she has no brain activity.
Today, Friday in the afternoon Ginger will be taken off life support.
Stacy and his and her family have been there by her side and will be through these last hours of today.
Today will be the most difficult day for them all please have the Oliver and the Garbett family in your prayers.
I am starting this Go Fund Me page to help our life long friend Stacy Garbett, Gingers life partner and each others everything with bills and expenses and because of this horrible event that occurred last night. This adds so much frustration to what was already the most heart breaking time in life for Stacy.
I cannot even fathom what has happened to Ginger yet and I can’t even believe what has happened last night on top of this family and Stacy having to say good bye to this beautiful Angel so unexpectedly.
This last night for Stacy to spend and stay over at the hospital with Ginger to spend this last night with her praying and hoping for a miracle along with his daughter Reagan and with their fur-baby Hunter there also with them.
Last night Stacy went out to their vehicle where they had all their personal belongings, Gingers cel phone, purse, all of Reagan’s belongings, her purse, her suitcases with her clothes, shoes everything she brought to be with her dad and Ginger during this time. When Stacy went to get Hunters food and water bowl out of their vehicle and let Hunter use the bathroom before they went in to spend this last night with Ginger as Stacy was letting Hunter use the bathroom out there he turned around for one minute with Hunter and when he turned back to the car it was gone!
Gone with everything in it.
I cannot even describe what Stacy must be going through right now.
But he needs our help.
I know a lot of you probably know this Stacy in Ginger do so much for this community. They drive around and take care of the feral cats in feral communities on HHI feeding them and giving them water and medical care when they need it. Heartlessly helping guard them and care for these homeless furry friends. Stacy has been driving back-and-forth every day from SAVANNAH to take care of not only their own cat who has diabetes who has to have an insulin shot twice a day and has been traveling back-and-forth with their dog Hunter, and still checking on these feral cats even in his deepest time of sadness all while keeping Hunter with him during this time to be able to take care of Hunter and keep Hunter close because he loves his mama so much and keeping them all close in these last days of her life.
This horrific event just got so much worse and now Stacy because of this senseless act by someone has a no mode of transportation.
His mom and dad are headed to the hospital again this morning not only to have to also say goodbye today to this beautiful Angel but also to help Stacy cope with this now also.
I am putting together this go fund me page with Stacy as the beneficiary to try and help him in this extreme time of need an md urgent emergency situation.
I have had the blessing of knowing Stacy and calling him my friend for most of my life and Ginger since I was 18 years old and these two people are the most giving selfless, loving, kind people you could ever meet and if you’ve ever met them I know you know that too.
Stacy would never ask anyone for anything and neither would Ginger. They are givers the most loving generous friends that would have your back on any situation ever in this life if you needed anything anytime day or night.
When I spoke to Stacy this morning on the phone and he told me what happened, I told him please to let his friends and family help if they can. He was reluctant even now, but I told him to please let us try and help with a go fund me page.
Nothing is going to take away the pain that he is feeling but we can try and alleviate some of the stress that has been brought on by this horrific act that happened in the parking lot of the hospital while he was out caring for their dog in the parking lot on his last night with the love of his life.
