Helping our family through a medical emergency

Hi, my name is Melissa and this year has been rather rough on our family. We got pregnant with our last little one and during that pregnancy I had a slew of complications (our family got Covid twice, RSV and I personally got pre-eclampsia). Aurora was born a month early and thankfully she was perfectly healthy for the most part. I had complications from labor but am okay now. After that point, due to a series of circumstances I had to quit my job to care for all three kiddos and deal with getting Covid for the third time. While being on one income, we were doing okay we didn’t have a ton of money, but we were able to pay our bills thankfully. This past weekend however, I ended up in the hospital and had to get emergency surgery. Brian had to take at least a week off to help me, and during that time, we found that it was unpaid leave. All of our bills that were due around this time are coming due/past due and our last option was to create this.

The funds would be used for our normal bills (mortgage, power, insurance), food, diapers/wipes, and if there is any more it will go towards the mounting hospital bills from the surgery and ambulance ride.
