My name is Bryana & my husband and I are fund-raising for our sister & brother inlaw and their two beautiful children who have been so tragically impacted by these NSW floods.
Nobody ever anticipated for how much rain we were going to get nor how quickly the water would rise.
Our family live in Telegraph Point on the Mid North Coast here in NSW.
The day they were deeply impacted there was my mother inlaw, and the family of 4 trying to escape with their animals to safety. Watching the water levels rise on their property and praying it wouldn't reach their house, it just kept coming.... they did everything they could but the rain was so heavy and soon they were swimming.... The water levels got so high they had to sit on their cars. They had called for emergency services a few times and nobody came.
My brother inlaw swam to the other side of their property to find their tinny , he turned it over as it was upside down and got in and gave it his all to start...
Thanking the universe he managed to get his children and animals to safety first and go back for his wife and mother inlaw....
Leaving their home and property behind with everything being washed away.
There is no price on life. And forever grateful they are safe.
The followings days when the water receded they were able to go back and witness everything they lost.
It will take so much to get back on their feet and as we understand their will be aid but it takes time.
We hope to heal these initial financial burdens as they've lost nearly everything. They've lost so much of their home contents, their cars, and more....
Our brother inlaw relies on tools & his van for his job as a carpenter/builder and work vehicle is a write off. He lost nearly all of his tools and others aren't repairable with extensive water damage.. He needs tools to be able to fix things around their property & for now he cannot return to work as his priority is his family and getting their life back for their children too.
Their children need their basic essentials like bedding, beds, school items, (shoes, bags, lunch boxes , books, pencils texters etc) toiletries, & maybe something to brighten this time in their life wether it be a game or a special treat.... We need to help put these smiles on their faces.
The cost of just living.... food, bills, finding a means of getting around and the mass clean up and cleaning products they'll need to get to do it all.)
I ask for your support as these people are a HUGE part of the Telegraph point community and they have put their hands up to help wherever they can. My sister inlaw has worked so hard supporting their local school with fund-raisers, charity events and giving her all through the bushfires with local families and surrounds.
We hope that anyone who reads this can have empathy for losing everything and understand the costs of trying to get to even a basic standard of living can be hard.
We thank you beyond words for reading and hope you can donate as little as $5 or whatever you can to help them.
I promise you they are so deserving and when they get on their feet they will be back helping others ....
From the bottom of ours hearts helps us dig deep and reach our goal for them.
We hope your safe & hug your loved ones.❤
