Helping our family & friends in Poltava, Ukraine

Hi, I'm Liam Alex Heffron, and this is my wife Kate and I, celebrating Orthodox Christmas in Poltava, Eastern Ukraine, just over a month ago. I have spent many happy months there over the past three years since we were married and made some fine friends and great memories.

Then Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine...

During this vicious war, Kate's father and our friends are trapped in Poltava, and we want to help them financially if possible, as supplies of food, medicines, and money become precarious for them. In response to the many kind offers of help, we set up this GoFundMe page to channel financial assistance to them via Kate's good friend Vova, a young lawyer in Poltava, who has agreed to distribute the aid as required and keep account of all monies. All funds raised will go to these Ukrainans' humanitarian needs, and we will ensure complete documentation of all expenditures for accountability.
