Here's what's up!

Routine Mammogram after Pandemic found a spot on the right side. Did a biopsy and next step was an MRI to prepare for surgery. With that they saw something on the left side too.

Results

A Smattering, on the right - Stage 0.

One spot, on the left - Stage 1

Caught it early!

Next Step: Double (or bilateral) Mastectomy Surgery Aug 31st.

- Because the smattering is approximately 5cm across, and the second spot was not found during the routine mammogram, better to not wonder during future exams. If they get it all, without surprises, no radiation or chemo will be scheduled.

Both of my employers have been Awesome! I am on hiatus from my PT work with the Conservancy for CVNP and have some PTO scheduled with my FT position at Quality Matters. Both have been SUPER busy so I am very fortunate that I can take the time. That being said, it will still take several weeks.

The hardest part so far was just letting people know. Everyone has their struggles and mine are no exception. I am staying Positive! I have no idea how this is going to go, but I do know this - I am lucky to have all of you! <3
