Helping our dear friend Shawn Kirkland

UPDATE: Thank you everyone who has helped so far, you don’t know how much it has helped Shawn . Shawn had his open heart surgery however he’s back in The hospital again. Lungs are being drained. He is still in need of our help as recovery looks like it’s going to be longer than expected. The burden of worry of keeping his home, paying bills is not helping his recovery so if you can help please reach out to Briana, Mark Perry Sr. or myself. Hi, my name is Cheryl P. Taylor, but really, we are a big group of Shawn Kirkland friends

and family that want to try and help him in any way we can. We are fundraising for our

dear friend Shawn. As you may have heard he is currently experiencing some serious

medical issues and will require open-heart surgery, however, other complications are

preventing the surgery at this moment. In the meantime, he is in the hospital and not

able to work. He has ran out of vacation and sick leave so we are stepping in to try and

help take this worry off of him so he can concentrate on his health and not bills. He

works in a position that requires lifting and delivering supplies so returning to do those

duties will take a bit of time after surgery. We figure at least five months of help is

needed after he has his surgery for recovery before he can return to work. Some of us

are committing to donating every month a small amount and if you are interested in that

just reach out to his niece Briana, his sisters Sondra and Stacey, myself (Cheryl), or

Mark Perry and we can help navigate that.

Shawn is the glue that keeps his siblings and nieces and nephews together. Shawn has

always been there for everyone, and I am sure at some point in your life with Shawn

has impacted you also without conditions, now it's our turn to help him. I am asking for

help from our friends, family, and community to ease the burden on our great friend in

the coming months and keep his household running. Shawn has an infectious

personality, lighting up every room he walks into. (parties and racing trips can't start

without him) His greatest pride is his family and network of friends, please help us

support him while he goes through surgery and healing. Funds will go directly to Shawn

for his mortgage and bills.
