We’re raising funds for my dad, Jesus, to help with medical and living expenses.

My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer 3 years ago when he first received radiation treatment and successfully went into remission. However, less than a year later he was diagnosed with small cell prostate cancer, a rare neuroendocrine cancer with a poor prognosis. At this time my dad underwent 10 sessions of radiation and multiple chemotherapy treatments. He was unable to work and relied heavily on some small savings and credit cards to pay for his living expenses and medical care. During this time, my brother and I also took on financial responsibilities to help our parents out. Shortly after completing treatment for the small cell prostate cancer, my dad began to experience neurodegenerative symptoms. He was suddenly experiencing expressive and anomic aphasia (he had difficulty finding specific words during speaking or writing, and producing speech- struggling to form sentences, stuttering, having writing issues etc.), difficulty with dexterity, mood instability and memory loss. He was taken to the hospital, where an MRI discovered multiple tumors in his brain as well as one tumor in his spine. He was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with metastasis to the brain in October of 2024 and has been unable to work since. My mom is his sole caretaker- taking him to chemo, radiation, follow-ups, exams and caring for him at home where his quality of life has severely diminished. My dad underwent radiation and chemo from October 2024 to November 2025, when his doctor halted his treatment under the impression that his chemo was no longer working. On January 2nd 2026 , we were informed that his cancer has further metastasized- he has new tumors in his spine, scapula, lung, neck and groin. My dad is giving chemo one more chance as a last resort, but we are out of options- and unfortunately, we are out of funds.

Him and my mother, along with my brother and I, are facing a huge financial burden from medical and living expenses. We need help to continue to assist our parents and to help prepare my mom and our family for what lies ahead. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward medical bills, caregiving needs, and basic living expenses during this incredibly difficult time.

Our dad means everything to us- he uprooted his life to give us a better future and all we want is the opportunity to give back to him- to help ease his burden, preserve his dignity and support him through the time he has left.
