This fundraiser is being organized in honor of our dear friend, Mimi Phomma, while she continues her battle with lung cancer.
Hello all, my name is Max Ramirez and I am reaching out to everyone again to assist our good friends, Mimi and Efrain Ibarra, with any financial burden while Mimi continues her fight against this merciless disease.
As some of you may already know, Mimi has been putting up a great fight in every effort to beat cancer since 2016. Mimi has showed us all what it is to be A FIGHTER when fighting for her life has been her only option. She has been very brave throughout the past couple of years, as she has gone through many surgeries and extensive treatments in every effort to defeat this vicious disease. Without a doubt, she has fought with every ounce of strength and with Efrain by her side, together they have gone through quite the struggle during this difficult time.
Sadly, Mimi has been having medical complications and has been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of months, as the cancer continues to threaten her life and her health continues to deteriorate. As difficult as this is to say, doctors have deemed her terminally ill. On Monday, May 18, 2020, we received the most heartbreaking news that her doctors gave Mimi very little hope for survival, as she was discharged home with hospice care. This news has been devastating to everyone involved, as we continue to pray for a miracle. Life is not always fair, but one must never lose faith and keep hope alive.
Time is of the essence and more than ever, Mimi and Efrain need our help, as the family is now faced with additional financial burdens and uncertainty. This fundraiser has been established to help ease the burden, so that the family can focus all their efforts on Mimi's treatment, healing and spending precious time together. Anyone who knows Mimi and Efrain can attest to the fact that they are incredibly giving when it comes to their time, love, and energy for anyone in need. Now is the time for us to help them out as they face the uncertain. If we can help alleviate some of the day to day financial pressures that will mount during this time of critical care, we too will have done our part to support them in a time of sincere need.
