I am fundraising for my father, Omar Patino, after the recent earthquake in Colombia turned his life upside down. Omar lost many of his belongings, and the childhood home that has been in our family for generations was heavily damaged. This was the home he dreamed of returning to after working hard in America so he could retire peacefully in Colombia, and that plan was shattered by this unforeseen disaster.

My father is one of the hardest-working, kindest, and most compassionate people I know, and this has impacted him deeply. Beyond the physical damage and financial loss, the earthquake has also taken a serious mental and physical toll on him during an incredibly difficult moment in his life.

The funds raised will help Omar with the immediate basics he needs to get through this crisis, including shelter, food, water, and essential supplies. Support will also help him begin the rebuilding process so he can start putting his life back together and work toward restoring the home that means so much to him and our family.
