Hi, my name is Odessa Clermont Ravara.
On August 5, 2020, I suffered a stroke that changed my life completely. I was in a coma for 3 weeks, and when I woke up, I couldn’t move my right side at all. At first, I was completely paralyzed.
Through years of effort and therapy, I’ve learned to walk again, but it’s still very difficult. I also struggle with my speech and I am half-blind in my right eye. The biggest challenge I face every single day is with my right hand. I can only move it up and down a little, which makes even the simplest daily tasks very hard.
Still, God has been so good to me because I am alive. I believe that with the help of kind people, together we can not only give me a chance at more independence, but also make the Lord happy through our compassion.
For the past two years, I’ve been researching and following a device called Exomotion, which is designed to support hand movement and rehabilitation. I truly believe this device can help me regain more independence and improve my quality of life, but it’s something I cannot afford on my own.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me one step closer to regaining the use of my hand. Your kindness and support mean more to me than I can express.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Odessa Clermont Ravara
