Helping Noah have a HOME
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Betty Ford and I am a close friend of Vanessa, sister to Noah Nethers. I’ve known Vanessa for over 17 years now and as long as I’ve known her, she speaks about her brother, Noah, with so much love and admiration.
Through these past years, Noah has had a long journey and struggled with houselessness and many of the problems associated with being in that predicament.
In August, Vanessa dropped everything and gathered whatever resources she could and drove to Colorado to scoop her brother off the streets. Needless to say, he was in rough shape and at the end of his rope. He felt so hopeless and Vanessa refused to give up on him and would not let him give up on himself.
Since she has brought him back to Portland, where our houseless population is spilling into the steeets everywhere, we continue to worry for him, as resources are hard to get and the wait is forever. Because of her current living situation, she wasn’t able to have him live with her until she could find a new place for them.
I too have a brother and we’ve had our own struggles, but I know that I would do everything in my power to help my brother. Please keep in mind that when you see someone homeless or struggling that it is someone’s brother, father, friend and someone loves them. They are human and deserve help and encouragement.

Noah has continued to stay positive, clean and hopeful to finally find a home and not have to live on these cold, wet, and scary streets. He is doing the hard work to get his life back on track and needs to know he still has support.
Vanessa has been able to find a place where she and Noah can start a new chapter. As of December 6th, they will finally have a place to call HOME!
The cost of moving and the supplies they need are a stressor and we are asking friends and strangers to please help during this cold season and time of giving to these siblings that love each other so fiercely. I am proud of how they have clung to one another and worked through this tumultuous time.
Every little bit helps. If you can’t give financially, please help share this link and encourage others to give during this season.
