Hi, my name is Nica, and I’m reaching out for support during a difficult time. After a long-term battle with chronic illness, my health has suddenly worsened. I’ve been having multiple stroke-like episodes with no clear evidence of a stroke, as well as an increase in seizure activity. These episodes have become more frequent, intense, and have been lasting longer each time. I’ve been diagnosed with an unspecified seizure disorder, POTS, and Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism, although we are still trying to find the underlying diagnosis. These conditions, along with worsening neurological symptoms, have left me unable to work and provide for my children while my medical team work on trying to find an underlying diagnosis. During this time, I’m struggling to cover my prescriptions, copays, utilities, and rent, and any support you can offer will help me stay afloat as I focus on healing.
