Helping Natali Stay Housed While Recovering

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Natali, and I’m reaching out during one of the most vulnerable and unexpected chapters of my life. I recently experienced a severe mental health crisis that led to an involuntary 5150 hospitalization. It was one of the hardest moments I’ve ever gone through, but it also pushed me to finally prioritize my health.

While in the hospital I was prescribed new medications to help stabilize and support my recovery. While these medications have been important for my healing, they also make me extremely drowsy — which makes long commutes unsafe. Unfortunately, my previous job required a 5-hour daily commute and carried extremely high stress levels. These factors played a major role in my hospitalization, and it’s clear that returning to that job is no longer safe or healthy for me.

Since being discharged, I’ve been doing everything in my power to get back on my feet. I’ve been:
• Applying to multiple jobs every single day
• Going in person to ask about hiring
• Constantly checking company websites and job boards

I’m trying as hard as I possibly can, but I’m facing a gap between now and when I secure a new job in town. I have depleted my savings paying this month’s rent and expenses — and my biggest fear right now is losing my housing while I’m recovering and transitioning into a healthier job closer to home.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help me stay stable by covering rent, utilities, and basic needs like food and toiletries during this recovery and job-search period. Having this support, even just for a short time, will give me the safety and breathing room I need to heal, continue therapy, and secure new employment.

Anything — truly anything — helps. Even sharing this page makes a difference.
I appreciate every single person who reads this, shares it, or supports me in any way. Thank you for giving me a chance to stay afloat while I rebuild.

With gratitude,
Natali
