Hello! My name is Chris Tiemann, and I am launching this fundraiser to help my Ukrainian loved ones and friends who had to flee Ukraine because of Russia's ongoing invasion and war. They desperately need help with money for housing, food and expenses. They are in western Europe and faced with unprecedented costs for being forced from their homes. They face many challenges, such as loss of wages and price gouging for housing exceeding over 400% of average rental rates.

 

As some of you may know, I lived  for almost six years in Kyiv, Ukraine...having moved back to the US a little over a year ago. Two of these people are some of the closest people to me in my life. Their family basically "adopted" me when I was there, and they are a like a second family to me. Around seven additional of our close friends are displaced throughout Europe, and have other friends of mine who are "trapped" in Ukraine, unable to leave for fear of their lives.

 

I want to provide as much help as possible to help them through this horrific war and humanitarian crisis. Anyone who knows me knows how personal this is for me, and I cannot stand by and watch.
