On September 15th, my sister and her husband woke up to the worst day of their lives. My brand new niece, who we had just delivered in the hospital less than two weeks before, didn't wake up. This unexpected tragedy shattered our whole family on both sides. Our hearts are broken, and the expenses are coming. We will need to have her makeup done so that they can see her and say goodbye one more time, cremation/burial services and memorial pieces; They are losing money from missing work while they grieve, and her Husband's bereavement leave is menial. My family is generally not in the habit of asking for help, but this was completely unexpected, and we were not financially prepared.
