Hello! My name is Katie. I am doing this Go Fund me for my big sister. Let me tell you a little about My sister, Megan! She is always a problem solver and go getter. I know you always read on these how the person is so nice and will give you the shirt off their back! It’s true! Megan will give you that and so much more… it’s just how we were raised. Her anxiety won’t let her live knowing she can fix something if she doesn’t try to. She has 3 kids, 1 of which she adopted. She is a preschool teacher and loves her children. She also is working on getting her directors license (she may already have it. I’m not sure ). She is married but with her not being able to work it’ll only be her husband’s income and with their rent recently going up it takes a huge chunk of his paycheck. I could sit here and type a chapter book on her personality and character but I think I can only type so much. So, anyhow, into why I’m asking for donations for Mrs. Megan, for a few months she has been having extreme pain before, after and during urinating (TMI, I know, I’m sorry) and also throughout the day.

She went to her Dr first. She said uti put her on 1 antibiotic. She went back 2 weeks later and she put her on a stronger antibiotic. 1 week later she was still in pain then went to bartow. They said probably a uti but not sure and gave her a different antibiotic. She went back to bartow and then they referred her to the urologist. He sent her for a CT scan and that's when they found a mass. She had to wait another 2 weeks for an mri and was in so much pain our mom made her go to TGH.

After hours of waiting and test the doctor came in and said that she has cancer. They are 99% sure it is stage 4 cervical cancer (due to it spreading into her bladder) but are waiting for pathology to come back. So then the tears came! So much I could fill a bucket!! Megan has informed us multiple times she doesn’t want to die - well no kidding .

I said “girl you’re not going to die.” This is not news we were expecting as you can imagine. So you are probably wondering why we need to raise funds, aren’t ya? She has to do chemo and radiation in Riverview. We are raising money for gas as she will be going for 45 days, we live in Lakeland. I am also trying to pay her electric bill for 2 months. And also help with groceries for her family. I want her to have as less stress as possible. (She is a stresser). Our family is doing what we can to help but unfortunately it isn’t enough. We will be forever grateful for anything we receive as we know we are not the only family struggling. Shares and prayers are appreciated.
