My mom recently suffered a heart attack and had to undergo emergency surgery, where doctors placed 3 stents in her heart. Thankfully she made it through surgery, but recovery will take time and this has been a very difficult and unexpected moment for our family.

She is almost 70 years old and has always been an incredibly strong and independent woman who has worked hard her entire life and handled everything on her own. Even now, her main source of income is driving for Uber, which means this sudden health emergency directly affects her ability to work and keep up with her bills, including a high car payment and daily living expenses.

She also lives with high blood pressure and congestive heart failure, so this has been a serious setback for her health.

Family support has been limited during this time due to other personal and health challenges, and living in New York while she is in North Carolina has made it difficult to help as much as I wish I could from a distance.
