Helping My Little Sis on Her Road to Recovery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my incredible little sister, Shawna. Recently, she was in a terrible motorcycle accident that has left her facing a long and challenging road to recovery. She broke her sternum, fractured her wrist and thumb, and has dealt with wound care specialists for severe abrasions and burns on her stomach and leg. The incoming hospital bills from surgery and ongoing medical expenses will become overwhelming, and we’re asking for help to ease the financial burden on her as she focuses on healing.

If you know Shawna, you know what a remarkable person she is. She’s fiercely independent, unbelievably hardworking, and has a heart of gold. She’s the type of person who would drop everything to help someone in need, no matter the time or place. Whether it’s friends, family, or even strangers, she’s always been the first to step up and offer a helping hand, expecting nothing in return.

It's not easy to ask for help, but now she needs ours. The accident has not only been physically and emotionally devastating but it’s also made it impossible for her to continue her work as an EMT while she recovers. She’s not one to ask for help herself, but I want to show her that she’s not alone and that her generosity and kindness have not gone unnoticed.

The funds raised will go directly toward her medical bills, occupational and physical therapy, and daily living expenses while she works toward regaining her strength and independence. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in her life during this incredibly difficult time.
