Hi my name is James,
I am the proud Son of the most responsible, cherished, selfless, sweetest, most hard working Man. Everyone that has met or will ever have the opportunity to meet him will just know how much of an amazing human being he is. On November 13, 2019 my father, Abraham Lopez (my personal hero), was in the city of Glendale, California working his weekly route . While laboring under the hot California sun, his work truck along with all of his tools, work equipment, paychecks, business records, and even his lunch was stolen. Everything lost in a matter of seconds!
My fathers is a hard working man who migrated to this country and was able to provide for his family by starting a gardening/landscaping business. He has always made our families well being his top priority. It never mattered how much sweat, blood or tears he shed, or how many scorching summers he endured, he always worked long and hard to give his family the opportunity to thrive. Often times putting in hours under the rain in order to honor his family and all of his clients. As he shared the awful news to us it broke my heart. To picture my humble, sweet father walking back to his truck and finding that his livelihood was taken away from him tears me apart. All of the years of hard work, all of his struggles and efforts, day in and day out, in one act of selfishness, were robbed of him.
I became very angry, not understanding why someone would do such a horridness act to this sweet loving person. But my father looked into my eyes and with such great words of wisdom said "James there is no need to be angry, I am not a materialistic person and my Lord and Savior will provide all in due time", he then continued saying: "never hope for bad things to happen to the people that hurt you the most. Things could have been different, I could have died coming back from work in that truck that day. God has his plan for each and everyone of us." As I heard him speak, it choked me up, because even though my old man lost everything he worked for, even though its gone and probably already sold for scraps, he stayed humble and in peace.
Gardening/landscaping tools aren't cheap, those who know my father know that he not only loves and enjoys what he does but also takes his job very seriously. He had more than $5000 worth in professional tools in his little '99 Toyota Tacoma that was stolen from him along with other professional equipment. He invested in his truck to accommodate for the business' needs.
I wish I was a rich man, and easily be able to give to my father. To be able to help him through this situation, but unfortunately I'm not. I promised myself to do whatever I can to help my father get back on his feet! So this is the first step.
Today Im asking for your help! Help my father get back his livelihood. PLEASE help us reach our goal by donating a portion of hope. Let it be $1, $5 maybe even $100 or simply by sharing this post with friends and family. Anything will be much appreciated.
Even though we live in a sinful world, I know there is still an abundance of amazing beautiful souls out there. Willing to be generous and loving to those in need.
Our family and my father thank you!
