Helping My Hero, Eric R. Croker
Donation protected
As many of you know, my brother passed away from cancer on 6/7/18. In the weeks before his death, he did one last thing that he was incredibly proud of. He made the decision to donate his body to the James Cancer Research Center at OSU. They would take his body for research and they would have him cremated and returned to his family. This took the burden off of his wife, Tina, to try to cover these expenses. His was relieved and proud that he could do this. Yesterday, before his death, the hospital informed us that his request had been denied because he has had MRSA (blood infection) in the past. His last wish was taken from him. Eric was never aware of this (thank God) but now we are trying to find the funds to cover transport of his body to Washington C. H., and the cost of cremation and urn. Eric did not want a funeral or memorial due to the cost. Eric was and is my HERO! He has fought harder than anyone I have ever known. He would be so worried about how Tina would cover these costs. Please help in any way you can... If each of his friends gave $5 we could meet the goal to cover transport, cremation and urn.
My brother had a huge heart! He went through 4 different types of cancer and never complained. He was there for me even when he was feeling his worst! I am lost without his smile and our daily texts. His body is gone but his memory, his love for life and his strength like no other lives on in his wife, kids and family. He truly is my HERO!! Please help in any way you can....
