Hello World and my name is Angie. On January 28, 2026, my family experienced a level of violence and fear that no one should ever have to live through. My brother was shot, and my mother was abused during a domestic violence incident that has left our entire family shaken.

My brother survived being shot and was taken to the hospital in stable condition, but survival is only the beginning. He is now facing physical recovery, emotional trauma, medical expenses, and the reality that his sense of safety has been taken from him.

My mother is also deeply traumatized. She is not injured in the same way physically, but the emotional harm and fear she carries are just as real. Neither of them feels safe returning to the home where this happened. What once was familiar now feels frightening, and the fear of reliving that moment is overwhelming.

This was a senseless act of violence that impacted real people—a son, a brother, a mother—who are now trying to figure out how to move forward after their lives were turned upside down in a matter of minutes.

We are asking for support to help cover:

• Medical bills and follow-up care for my brother

• Safe living arrangements for both victims as they rebuild a sense of security

• Basic living expenses and lost income during recovery

• Trauma-informed counseling and emotional support services

There is an ongoing investigation, and we are being mindful of the legal process. Our focus is on helping my brother and mother heal, feel safe, and begin the long road forward.
