Helping our dear older friends when they need it

Dear Neighbors and friends,

We're reaching out to seek your support for Gerald Jones and Angela Chambliss (they are married), long-time residents of Old Bee Caves Road in Austin, who are currently facing winter challenges. A lot of people will know them because they sell stained glass in the front of their property. Sweetest people ever. Their home, devoid of central heating, relies solely on a wood-burning stove and several space heaters, making it increasingly difficult to maintain warmth as temperatures drop. Recent issues, including a malfunctioning water heater, a bad/flat tire affecting Gerald's essential trips, and accumulated medical bills, have created a significant financial burden. Your contribution can play a vital role in providing the warmth they need, assisting with transportation, and alleviating the strain of medical expenses. Let's come together as a compassionate community to make a meaningful impact on Gerald and Angela's lives. We have know them for 3 years now and my sons have been delivering them firewood every winter. They are off in College now, so it makes it more difficult, but I jumped right in to help. I have never done one of these before so I am hoping it goes well. I have lived in the Oak Hill area for over 30 years. Every penny raised will go to them.
