My dad has always been a hard worker. That’s the main thing he instilled in us four girls. Have a good work ethic and work hard for what you want in life. Boy has he ever! He has never been without a job sometimes working more then one to make ends meet.

  The last few years he has been working for a company delivering packages. He enjoys it but it has been hard on him! He has been working this entire pandemic. He is one of the many hard working Americans making sure you get your packages. Working overtime with the influx of deliveries for people who can’t be out shopping or working.

  On Nov 5 th he started to be come ill. He got tested and found out on Sunday Nov 8th he had contracted Covid-19. This was super hard for us girls. We all live so far away and there was nothing we could do except send a care package to him and mom.  Mom was starting to feel sick and taking care of dad and herself was hard. On wed Nov 11th we convinced him to go to the hospital he was having issues breathing and his O2 levels were low. He was diagnosed with covid pneumonia. He was moved into the icu to get better breathing assistance from a cpap machine. He was put on blood thinners for pulmonary embolisms and unfortunately had a reaction to one. Thankfully the pulmonary embolisms were segmental and did not put strain on his heart.  
  This was another set back and a very scary situation for us all! Daily zoom meetings with us and all his grand babies has kept his fighting spirit up!  

  On Nov 28th mom was having some leg pain and we got her to go in to get checked out. She has a small blood clot but was put on blood thinners to help resolve it. She has been feeling really good just tires easily.

 Thankfully dad has been improving every day since. On Dec 2nd he was able to go home with oxygen.
  My dad is a fighter, but now they need help. He is such a proud man and would never ask for assistance. But the medical bills are piling up. He has been out of work for a month and we don’t know if and when he will be able to return. He had to use all his vacation and sick time to get paychecks up until now but that is now running out. Mom has been out of work since dad got sick. She now has to be home and help dad everyday. Dad will be on oxygen and blood thinners for the foreseeable future. This is not easy for us to ask but we pray that people will help us help them. Even $5 will go a long way to help with medical bills.
