Hali Ahmed is a Muslim sister that is 65 years old widowed, who currently lives in Djibouti. She is originally from Somalia; she came to Djibouti at the age of 18 to have a better life to support her mom, dad and her sibling she left behind. While she was in Djibouti working as a maid, she married and quit her job as a maid. Her husband was financial support her. Recently, her husband, who was sick for a while, passed away. Unfortunately, Allah SWT didn’t bless them with children. Hali health over time decreases with high cholesterol diabetes. She injured her right leg in the bathroom and had multiple surgeries. They insert a metal plate inside her right leg. Currently, she is temporarily staying with her relatives. Because she got kicked out of the house, she lived with her late husband by her stepchildren. Currently, situation that she is now she needs help with food, shelter, clothing, and medication expense. Even if you aren’t Muslim, we all know that regardless of race or religion charity is important.

Sadaqa is an important concept within Islam. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim).
