Helping Moms Heal: Support my Journey to Become a Yoga Teacher for Postpartum Wellness
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a mix of excitement and vulnerability. As a mom of two young kids, I know firsthand how challenging the postpartum period can be—mentally, emotionally, and physically. After experiencing these struggles myself and seeing so many other mothers go through the same, I’ve found a deep calling to support moms in a way that truly makes a difference.
During my maternity leave, the hair salon where I worked shut down, and I found myself at a crossroads. Instead of trying to rebuild in the same industry, I decided to follow a deeper passion—one that aligns with my own healing journey and my desire to support other mothers.
I’ve discovered a yoga teacher training that aligns perfectly with this mission. The Deham Yoga program with Dr. Jivasu focuses on somatic healing, Hatha and Kundalini yoga, meditation, and breathwork. While it’s not solely designed for postpartum healing, these practices are exactly what I hope to bring to mothers struggling with anxiety, depression, and the overwhelming transition into motherhood. My goal is to create a supportive community where moms can reconnect with themselves, process their experiences, and find relief through movement and mindfulness.
However, coming off an unpaid maternity leave, the cost of this training is a challenge. That’s why I’m humbly asking for support from my community. Every contribution—big or small—helps me get closer to this goal, and in turn, allows me to help other moms who need it most.
As a thank you, I’ll be offering a free monthly yoga and meditation class from February to June—open to both donors and anyone who would benefit. This is my way of giving back and sharing the practices that have helped me so much.
If you’re able to donate, I’m beyond grateful. If not, sharing this with others or simply sending words of encouragement means the world to me. Thank you for believing in me and in this mission.
With love and gratitude,
