Today I had a follow up with my Breast Cancer Surgeon. I recently had scans that showed some concern which involved me getting a Pet Scan scheduled. After a long chat with my Dr and her listening to my concerns we both agreed to move forward with the double mastectomy as originally planned from day 1. Lesson learned, follow your gut and be your own advocate! PERIOD

By the way this will be done after I heal from my full Hysterectomy in July.

Once again, I can’t thank ya’ll enough for the support and prayers through this whole journey.

Update 2/25/2024

Thank you to all who have donated and had us reach our goal. We are hoping to reach another goal to help mom out due to her having to resign at her job of 15 years due to her health at this time. For those who have been following mom’s journey, mom has had multiple complications since her surgery and radiation treatment where she has had to be hospitalized, had to have another surgery and sees her Dr weekly for follow ups. Mom’s biopsy showed some changes and therefore she has to start chemotherapy again on 2/28/2024 along with immunotherapy and daily oral chemotherapy as well. With that all being said, we do not know how long she will be out of work and we are continuing to try and help her out as much as we can to lessen the stress on her. We appreciate everyone who continues to follow and support her along this journey

Our mom was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Just when she was finally adjusting to her newest chapter in life, she got diagnosed with cancer. While we are doing our best to help and do everything we can - friends and family have wanted to know how they could help. We are starting this gofundme to help give mom some sort of relief. Medical bills are already rolling in, while it is of course not required, donations are greatly appreciated. We are not ones to ask for help but others have asked what they can do.
