Hello, I am creating this GoFundMe campaign to support my mother, who has been hospitalized in the ICU for 14 days following a significant hemorrhagic stroke on December 23rd. During her hospitalization, she underwent a week of sedation while medical professionals drained fluid and blood from her brain, and then spent another week without sedation. Thankfully, she has awakened and the drain has been removed. My mother has been actively participating in physical and occupational therapy at the hospital, showing her strength and demonstrating favorable signs of recovery. Nevertheless, her rehabilitation process will be lengthy. To ensure she receives the best possible care, it is probable that she will need to be transferred to a facility located 2 to 3 hours from our current residence in Redding, California. I am seeking financial assistance to support her continued care and enable me to be present for her during this difficult time. I will be utilizing Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) benefits for a specified period to support her recovery. The financial support from the community will be crucial in helping me provide my mother with the best possible care, thereby enhancing her prospects for regaining a life with quality, dignity, and independence.
