Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
My name is Sean Gillaspie, and I'm reaching out to you today on behalf of my sweet mother who has been battling undiagnosed metastatic pancreatic cancer for some time now. We found out the diagnosis in February.
She has been traveling back and forth from Detroit to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, in the hopes of saving her life. It's undoubtedly the best place she can be for her treatment. The team of experts here are dedicated to providing the best possible care and treatment options for her condition.
Unfortunately, the medical expenses have taken a toll on her savings, and now she's been diagnosed with more tumors in her liver and lung, requiring chemotherapy infusions every ten days.
My family and I are devastated by the news, especially since we just lost my younger brother last September. It's been an emotionally and financially draining time for us all. My mother has always been a strong and resilient woman, but this diagnosis, coupled with the loss of her son, has left her feeling overwhelmed and anxious and in serious pain. Her beliefs in her faith are powering her through this battle. She is determined to fight this disease with all her strength and she is forever grateful for the opportunity to receive treatment at such a respected institution.
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial burden and stress of medical bills. The cost of treatment, medication, and travel is extremely high, and it's making it impossible for my mother to focus on fighting this disease. We want to give her a fighting chance and provide her with the resources she needs to stay strong and resilient.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help us achieve our goal. It's not a handout, it's a hand-up, and it's for a good cause. We believe that with your support and generosity, my mother will be able to concentrate on fighting this battle and win the war against cancer.
As a son who just lost his brother, I don't want to lose my mother too. I'm grateful for all the love, support, and prayers we've received from friends and family during this challenging time. We're confident that together, we can make a difference in my mother's life and provide her with the strength and resources to prolong her life.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and we appreciate any support you can offer.
Sincerely,
Sean Gillaspie and family.
