Molly posted on facebook today, June 22nd:
"last night around 3 there was a fire in my apartment building. i heard alarms and woke up. there was smoke coming out of apartment next to mine. i called 911 and broke into apartment and used a fire extinguisher on flames but smoke was so bad. i couldn't breathe and it was coming fast. i grabbed my cat and ran out. fire was maintained by fire department.  everything has smoke damage. walls carpets books bed everything. i cant go home yet."

Unfortunately Molly did not have rental insurance.  We would like to help Molly with necessities and needs from the smoke damage.  We think the furniture will need replacing and her mattress/boxspring.   We also think that she will have to have her items removed so the landlord can clean that apartment so will need help with storage costs, and possibly temporary housing.  

Won't be able to go back for a few days to access damage but there was quite a bit of smoke damage as the apartment was just a foot away from Molly's door.
