A few weeks ago, Mitch was hospitalized with some various health issues, but most specifically, liver complications. He was treated for a couple of days and was released. However, over the last couple of weeks his condition has worsened. Last night, he was admitted into Children's Dallas, and is now facing some other possible serious health issues. The medical expenses are rising, and will only continue to rise. Lorraine is not able to continue working right now so she can be with Mitch as much as possible.  Gil has been able to maintain work while Lorraine has stayed with Mitch, but we all know the stressors related to finances and loss of income that is normally relied upon. While her job is secure, the income has not been there. Her last few checks have been much lower than normal because of having to miss work to care for Mitch. The old saying, "It takes a village," could never be more true than now. The money raised will help them catch up on their finances/bills, it will be used to help with medical costs for the specialized care he will be getting, and will help them until she's able to get back to work, which could be awhile. They are extremely grateful for any amount given, and covet any and all prayers you can send Mitch's way. Now is the time to be, "The Village" for Mitch and the Lucero's. This has devastated Mitch, and taken a toll on him emotionally and physically,  as we can all imagine. He is the starting catcher for his Varsity baseball team(Guyer Wildcats), and has helped them get to the playoffs this season which will start in two weeks. All your boys are fighting with you, Mitch. Let them carry you, and we'll carry your family.
