Helping Milt...

I am Milt's pastor and friend (Lyle) who is working with him on immediate details of what comes next. This is all shared with Milt's permission.

In the early morning hours of January 28th, 2023 Milt Farbstein and Suzanne Fremon had a house fire. Milt made every effort to help Suzanne but with great sadness we know, Suzanne did not make it out. He had severe burns treated and was released the next morning. He then went to the Fletcher Allen Burn Center for additional treatment where they confirmed he had severe 2nd-degree burns on his head and back.

His home was a total loss and was not insured for various reasons. He lost his home, his belongings, his 4 dogs, and most importantly his beloved wife. Suzanne and Milt are accomplished musicians and shared their art freely. They have become a staple in our Schroon Lake Arts Community.

As we rally around him there will be many needs. Milt has asked us to help him facilitate some of these things. We are working through a strategic list with him and will let people know as there are specific ways that people can help. The biggest hurdle will be his permanent housing. His immediate housing is covered. We know based on the list of people who reached out yesterday, that our community would love to surround him with assistance in any way possible. This fund will help him with cleanup and permanent housing needs. No matter the amount, it will make a difference.
