Helping Mikey live or his transition with life

On May 5,2018 we got told Mikey had acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I remember them telling us that this was going to be an easy ride that kids with mikeys cancer get into remission fast

Mikeys first relapse was October of 2019 and after trying two protocol treatments for relapse Mikey still had cancer. We tried 4 treatments before we headed to car T cell transplant and a two hard months after transplant and recovery we were able to go home in June 2020

That was until October of 2021 when cancer decided he wanted to reappear in our lives and after trying more chemo and putting more treatment drugs into Mikey; two more failed chemo treatments.

Then February 8, 2021 we got the call Cincinnati children’s hospital had a trial open for Mikey. February 9, 2021 we were in Cincinnati being admitted ready for what they had in store for us. We started with new drugs, new chemo and then we got the news finally in April 2021 that this trial worked and he was in remission.

So we rushed his sister out there to begin prepping her because that was his match for a bone marrow transplant. After the bone marrow transplant we were in remission as of September 2021.

Mikey is one of the strongest kids you will ever meet. He has been fighting cancer for 3 long very long years

Unfortunately cancer does not fight fair at all and decided to come back into Mikey’s life again for a third time. We went to Cincinnati to speak with doctors and they just told us all they can do at this point for Mikey is give him chemo to keep the cancer as low as they can for as long as possible until Mikey’s cancer figure out a way around that too.

We might be at the end of our journey but we are going to continue to keep fighting and keep searching. We need help to travel to holistic healers or other hospitals that have different trials that can help mikey when/if we get that information from his doctors.

And if all else fails…we will have the funds to give mikey a very happy life and a proper funeral.
