Helping Melissa Fight Ovarian Cancer

Donation protected

Dear friends and family,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share some difficult news. My loving big sister, Melissa, has recently been diagnosed with stage 2-3 Clear Cell carcinoma, a type of ovarian cancer.

She was diagnosed in September when a CT scan at an ER visit discovered a large abdominal mass attached to her ovary and part of her colon. An additional CT scan of the chest revealed multiple blood clots in the lungs and arm. This resulted in multiple hospital stays in Seattle and a complicated surgery to remove the mass and one ovary. She is currently healing from the surgery and will be starting chemotherapy this month. She will also need an additional surgery once chemo is completed.

The road ahead is challenging, both emotionally and financially. Missy is facing extensive medical treatments, including 18 weeks of chemotherapy, an additional surgery to remove her uterus and remaining ovary, ct scans, blood tests and numerous doctors visits. As her family, we are committed to supporting her every step of the way.

However, we can't do this alone. We are humbly asking for your help and support during this difficult time. Your contributions will go towards potential expenses, such as medical bills, medications, travel costs and anything else she my need.

Please keep our family in your thoughts, and if you are able, consider making a donation to help her on this journey. Every share, donation, and kind word would mean the world to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and generosity.

Brittney and family.

Update 9/30/24:

After 18 weeks of chemo and a short recovery/break Melissa's cancer fight continues on. Friday 9/27/24 Missy went in for a full hysterectomy and surgery to remove a new cancerous tumor. While in surgery her doctors found that her cancer has spread a lot faster than expected. A new chemo therapy plan is in the works but has yet to be determined. Your continued support, love and donations are greatly appreciated as this continues to impact Robert and Melissa's daily lives mentally, physically and especially financially.
