Urgent Support Needed for Meiya

Our beloved Meiya has just received devastating news:

They recently received a diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer, which has presented several challenges. Multiple tumors on their lower spine are causing spinal stenosis, compressing vertebrae L-1 through L-5. This compression is putting pressure on their nerves, resulting in debilitating pain, loss of sensation, weakness, and numbness.

Meiya is currently undergoing radiation and steroid treatments, which should help reduce the tumors and potentially control the cancer's progression. However, it may take up to 9 weeks to assess the effectiveness of these treatments and gain a clearer understanding of their prognosis.

Unfortunately, the side effects of these treatments, including fatigue and other symptoms, may also take several weeks to subside. Meiya’s medical team have unanimously advised them to prioritize rest and avoid working during this time.

Meiya's mobility has been severely impacted, and the road to recovery will be long and challenging. That's why we're rallying around them with love, support, and a GoFundMe campaign.
