Helping me through Bells Palsey
Donation protected
My name is Vonetta Robinson. On March 3, 2021 after experiencing the symptoms of what doctors thought was a stroke I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy. I never heard of that before but all I knew was my face was paralyzed on the left side, my mouth was twisted, and my speech slurred just as if I had a stroke. I was devastated and embarrassed by appearance. Not working and being able to cover my bills were the least of my worries. I am usually the one helping others, doing for and giving is my thing but what happens when all that changes? I seldom ever have had to ask anyone for help until now. On July 7, 2021 after 5 months of struggling with Bells Palsy I got my speech back, I was over joyed, I was so grateful that God had given me the freedom of speech once again. I was going to be able to go back to work and thrive.
On August 30 ,2021 I went to the Emergency Room with a pounding headache, slurred speech and facial paralysis. I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy again. The doctor s said that it’s rare for a person to get Bells Palsy back to back yet here I am. This time I was admitted in the hospital for 4 days. I am again with limited speech and out of work.. Having to go thru this again has been heart breaking but apparently God see’s strength in me that I don’t see in myself. This experience is definitely a humbling one you just never know what life is going to throw at you and we take so much for granted simple things like just being able to talk. Any funds received will go towards, monthly household expenses, hospital bills, speech therapy, and doctor bills. I am asking that those who can help me in any way please do so. Thank you in advance for your generosity,
