Support My Journey to Justice After Sexual Harassment

Hi my name is Heather
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I’m reaching out because I’m currently facing a very difficult and deeply personal situation involving sexual harassment and stalking. After months of enduring unwanted contact and distressing behavior, I’ve made the decision to pursue legal action and take the matter to court. This person was my realtor. He went through my drawers, used my sex toys, washed them, put them in a box, laid in my bed and sent selfies, as well as inappropriate messages and would wait at my home for hours. This was truly terrifying for me. I was bound by contract and he was the owner of his business. I went to the police and they said there wasn’t enough evidence proving I didn’t want this. The system failed me. But then after a long time of waiting, the human rights tribunal took on my case. We had conciliation last week. But he denied, deflected, attacked my mental health and refused to take any accountability.
This has not been an easy choice, but it’s one I felt was necessary for my safety, my peace of mind, and to stand up for myself and others who have faced similar situations. I am a single mum, my child doesn’t need to see me this way. Right now I’m a mess.
This man has done this before and he will do it again.
Unfortunately, the legal process is expensive and emotionally taxing. Costs include legal fees, time off work, transportation to court, and ongoing support for my safety and mental health. I am doing everything I can to manage this on my own, but I’m now in a position where I need to ask for help.
If you’re able to contribute — no matter the amount — it would mean the world to me. Every bit helps ease the financial burden and allows me to focus on healing and seeking justice. Most of this will be going to the retainer of my lawyer. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign or simply sending a kind word is equally appreciated.
Thank you for supporting me through this — your kindness and solidarity give me strength.
