Hi, I’m Keith. For the past 8 years, my life was controlled by a financially and emotionally abusive living situation. I was used for my paycheck, denied transportation, and repeatedly blocked from gaining independence or building a stable future. I've finally broken free, but the immediate challenge is immense. I'm currently staying with a friend in Hickory, North Carolina, but I have to leave by the end of this month. I have no car, no permanent shelter, and no place to go. Yet, I have a clear plan, and I am not giving up.
A reliable used RV: This will be my immediate home, providing safety and stability so I am not homeless. Maintaining a separate living space is essential for my well-being and to ensure a clear distinction from my business operations. This separation is crucial to avoid any complications with audits or privacy issues, ensuring that personal and business matters remain distinct.
A suitable used regular trailer: This will be my dedicated mobile workshop, a professional, secure, and fully equipped space for Honest Tech Solutions. I plan to outfit its interior with essential renovations—sturdy workbenches, secure storage for tools, dedicated power outlets, shelving, lighting, and sturdy work surfaces. The Trailer will also be equipped with a robust solar power system (panels, inverter, batteries) to provide independent, clean energy for both the workshop and the RV. This ensures continuous power for my tech tools, diagnostic equipment, and living needs, maximizing my efficiency and reducing operating costs as I travel. Fuel to relocate and begin operations, and initial basic tools are also part of the essential setup.
With 32 years of experience in computer repair, I'm ready to launch my own business, Honest Tech Solutions. My vision is to operate as a mobile repair shop, serving communities by traveling from town to town. This flexible approach will allow me to reach clients where they are, adapt to market needs, and provide essential tech services efficiently. To make this happen, I urgently need a way to live and work sustainably on the road.
This critical fund will cover the purchase of a reliable used RV (early 2000s model, road-ready and safe for long-term living), the purchase of a suitable used trailer for the mobile workshop, essential registration, insurance, and tag fees for both vehicles, crucial initial repairs and maintenance (like tires, battery, brakes, fluids, seals) to ensure both vehicles' longevity and safety on the road, and materials for the interior renovation and solar installation in the trailer workshop.
This isn't about luxury; it's about dignity, safety, and building a truly self-sufficient, sustainable business and home. Every share and every donation brings me closer to turning this urgent situation into a successful, independent future. Thank you for helping me move forward safely and with purpose.
