Hi, my name is Ashley and I am reaching out for help for my mom, Samantha.

With a broken heart, I’m reaching out during the hardest time of my life. My beautiful, strong mom has been placed in hospice care after nearly two years of battling extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer. She fought with everything she had—through endless treatments, hospital stays, and hard days. She’s shown nothing but strength, grace, and a fierce will to live through it all.

But now, her body can’t take any more. Her doctors have made the decision to stop all treatment, and we’ve come to the heartbreaking point where we’re focusing on keeping her comfortable in these final moments.

My mom has always been my whole world. She’s my best friend, my rock, the person I could always turn to no matter what. And now I’m trying to do the hardest thing—prepare to say goodbye while making sure she gets the peaceful, loving goodbye she deserves.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise money for her funeral and burial expenses. This isn’t something easy for me to ask, but I want to honor her the right way and give her the rest she’s earned after everything she’s been through. Every dollar will go toward giving her a beautiful service and a proper goodbye surrounded by love.
