Helping ‏me get out of Gaza and start a new life

I am Taha, a 19-year-old man from Gaza. I finished high school with distinction. I was a first year student enrolled at Al-Azhar University in Gaza at the Faculty of Pharmacy with dreams of studying medicine. However, the war that began on October 7 radically changed my life. The university was destroyed in November. I think my last day there was October 5th. I don't know how I will continue my education. I was subjected to bombing and sustained serious injuries to my head during an air strike targeting Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip on November 17, 2023.
My mother was also injured, and she is not in good condition and needs to complete her treatment as soon as possible. I stayed trapped under the rubble for 3 hours and endured some of the most excruciating pain during that time, which worsened the damage to my wounds. The pain is getting worse, and getting the necessary medical treatment has become my top priority.

Due to the ongoing blockade and closure of crossings, it has become difficult to leave Gaza to receive necessary medical treatment. The conditions here are horrific: there is no electricity, internet, water, food or medicine. My family and I live in a tent that does not provide adequate protection from the harsh winter cold. I am not alone in this suffering. I have a mother, father and two younger brothers who face the same harsh conditions. In the future, I hope I can raise money to help them as well, but for now, my immediate concern is to get urgent medical treatment for my head. The health system in Gaza is collapsed, and I need to travel to a safe place where I can get the necessary care to prevent my health from deteriorating.
To make this happen, I am asking for your kind support to help me raise €35,000, which will cover the following costs:
 • $10,000 for evacuation from Gaza for me and my mother
 • $12,085 for the costs of the surgery and accommodation upon arrival in Egypt (with adjustments to cover fees)
 • The remainder will go toward GoFundMe fees and 34% taxes in Spain
The money withdrawn from this fundraiser will be converted to USD before it's used to pay for expenses.
Mohamed Nassar Mansur is a professor and physician in cardiac surgery. He was my neighbor in Gaza and then moved to Spain. GFM needs a bank account from an EU country, so he agreed to use his bank account in Spain as a beneficiary to raise funds and help sponsor my treatment and education abroad. We may adjust this amount as needed to evacuate my family as well. Any amount you can contribute will make a huge difference in my life and help me on the road to recovery. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Your support and solidarity means a lot to me in this difficult time. With sincere gratitude and appreciation, Taha
