Helping Me Care for My Brother Through His Recovery

Hello friends,

This isn’t easy for me to write. I’ve always been a hard-working, independent person who takes pride in handling my own responsibilities. Asking for help has never come naturally to me.

Most already know, the beginning of this year my brother suffered a brain bleed. On top of that, he has been battling liver cirrhosis and dangerously low platelet counts. His health has required frequent hospital stays and constant care. Since then, I’ve been by his side as his caregiver—helping him at home, managing doctor visits, medication, PT/OT, and making sure he has the support he needs every day.

Caring for him is something I want to do with all my heart, but the reality is that it has kept me from being able to work steadily. Over time, this has made it very hard to keep up with my own living expenses.

Starting this GoFundMe is not something I do lightly. I’m reaching out because any support—big or small—would make a real difference in helping me stay financially stable while continuing to care for my brother during this difficult chapter.
