Dear friends and family,

I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear high school friend Mazie, whose family was severely impacted by Hurricane Melissa, a category 5 storm that hit our island on October 21st. The storm ravaged the west coast, particularly St. Andrew's, where her elderly father lost everything except for a few cherished items.

As we approach the holiday season, we know that many families are already facing financial strain. That's why we're launching a fundraiser to support Mazie's family during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help bring some relief and hope to those who need it most.

As my family in Kingston was fortunate to sustain only minor damage, I'm reminded of the importance of community and coming together in times of need. Let's rally around Mazie and her family, and show them that we're thinking of them.
