Hello everyone.
I just wanted to start off by saying this isn’t easy. Especially for a mom watching one of her children deal with something as scary as a brain tumor. These funds would help Mary during this time she cannot work due to various appointments to figure out what the next steps will be for her tumor and to cover what insurance can’t. This is something she wouldn’t start for herself because she has too big of a heart to ask others for help, while others also deal with their own lives. She has always been a hard worker that pays the bills and helps provide her family with whatever they need, so not being able to lately has been hard on her.
In December, Mary started feeling ill due to her menstrual cycle being extremely heavy. This wasn’t something unusual at first, until it was long overdue for her cycle to be done and was accompanied by extreme dizziness and a racing heart. We headed to the ER where they immediately admitted her to be monitored overnight. She was anemic and tachycardic from all the blood loss. She needed two blood transfusions. When they ran some tests on her blood, mainly to figure out what her blood type was, they found an abnormally high blood count. She was immediately referred to an appointment for an MRI. Upon receiving her MRI results, they told us that she has a tumor on the pituitary part of her brain. No mother wants to hear that kind of news, so it has been a scary couple of months since. We have upcoming appointments to figure out what our next steps will be, so getting some help in the meantime will be a huge load off her shoulders. We appreciate anyone who can help. She has been beading in the meantime when she isn’t dealing with headaches, to try to cover what she can, but that hasn’t been much. Thank you all in advance and we will keep updating everyone along this journey to get rid of her brain tumor.
