On Jan 30th our friend and coach Marty of Flattop Horsemanship entered Emergency for the first time in what we all thought was a bad flu. 5 months later of undergoing constant testing, we have finally found out yesterday that Marty was pre diagnosed with Lyme’s disease and Babesia at the Ananta Lyme Clinic.
Marty is extremely weak and has lost 20 pounds. He sleeps the majority of the days and has zero energy. His colour is usually gray and when he is awake, he is suffering with fevers, chills and in my own words “listless”.
The supplemental drugs alone for Lyme’s disease cost $500/month and of course Alberta Health Care does not cover the treatment or ongoing testing for Lyme’s Disease.
Marty is not only a friend to many but one of the most talented horseman we know. Please help him and Yvon with medication costs, living and travel expenses to and from the city, as he has been unable to work since January. He is looking at a 4 month to 2 year road to recovery.
Please join us as we rally together to help get this horseman back doing what he loves Any donation amount is so greatly appreciated
